This intuitive piece evolved over many months and many layers of paint.

One day, these two 'estranged' silhouettes appeared. I have been painting intuitively for a little over 12 months and thoroughly enjoy the process and what emerges in my artwork.

Being an intuitive piece, it is sometimes difficult to determine the meaning behind the artwork.

I feel this piece could be a symbolic representation of the challenges and sometimes heartbreak that families and couple can face when maintaining family relationships around the long hours of working in the mining industry.

I chose to finish this piece using gold acrylic and glitter paint to tie in with the exhibition theme of 'Gold' for this year.
